If you have an ounce of adventure in your heart, take your pick: a pedestrian bridge links the hotel to Hazard Center’s mix of shops and restaurants. The adjacent trolley stop connects you to the aquatic life at Sea World, the safari life at the San Diego Zoo, the sun and splash life at a beautiful nearby beach, or the shopping life at the Bazaar Del Mundo in picturesque Old Town. Then stop by for dinner in Little Italy, or even catch a game at Petco Park (home of the San Diego Padres baseball team), and don't forget to take in the Gaslamp Quarter with its variety of restaurants and nightlife.
We’ve prepared a pair of online maps (using Google MyMaps™) to help you find your way around the area. You can use them on any smartphone or other device with a web browser, though devices with larger screens will of course let you see more at once.
Restaurants and Eateries
One map lists all of the restaurants and eateries in the nearby malls, plus some selected restaurants and areas for restaurants a bit farther afield. These are organized into layers by area: http://bit.ly/cc36-maps-food
Another map, http://bit.ly/cc36-maps-other shows everything else: Supermarkets, department stores, fabric and crafting supplies, fun places like the Zoo and the Hotel del Coronado… organized by type of store or attraction.
And finally, to help you become familiar with the maps quickly, here’s a handy and quick guide: http://bit.ly/cc36-maps-guide We highly recommend spending a bit of time with that before you get here – finding your way around will then be easy!
